The learned Pandit Chatur Das asked why Guru Nanak wore no tulsi beads, saligram or forehead mark. Guru Ji answered in song: 'Let God's Name be the saligram thou adorest, let good deeds be the basil-wreath round thy neck.' The Puratan Janamsakhi says they also recited their long composition Oankar here, and that Chatur Das became a disciple.
