Tradition says Guru Ji stayed by the Yamuna, where a Muslim hermit called Majnu, who ferried people across, became Their disciple. At what is now Nanak Piao, Guru Ji gave water to the thirsty. A popular story tells of a royal elephant Guru Ji would not revive on demand, for which They were briefly imprisoned; sources differ on whether the ruler was Sikandar or Ibrahim Lodi.
