The proud scholar Pandit Brahm Das arrived with 'two camel-loads' of books and an idol round his neck, and questioned the Guru's dress and practice. The Guru answered with a hymn on the one Creator (GGS 1279). The Puratan Janamsakhi says Brahm Das became a disciple.
